  1. Oversee and manage all aspects of Aetna's pharmacy programs, including operational processes, staffing, and budgeting.
  2. Ensure efficient delivery of medications to members, including timely and accurate prescription fulfillment, inventory management, and distribution.
  3. Lead a team of pharmacy professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure exceptional customer service and high-quality care for members.
  4. Develop and implement strategies to improve pharmacy program efficiency and effectiveness, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, cost-saving measures, and innovative solutions to enhance the member experience.
  6. Monitor and analyze pharmacy program performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
  7. Stay current on industry developments and trends, and proactively adjust pharmacy programs to align with best practices and market demands.
  8. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and a high-performing team by providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities for staff.
  9. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, pharmacies, and pharmaceutical manufacturers.
  10. Represent Aetna's pharmacy programs in meetings and presentations with internal and external partners, promoting our services and driving business growth.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or Related Field: A Pharmacy Program Manager Must Have A Strong Foundation In Pharmaceutical Sciences And Healthcare Management. A Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Or A Related Field Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Effectively Manage Pharmacy Programs.

  • Previous Experience In Pharmacy Management: Aetna's Pharmacy Program Manager Must Have Previous Experience In Managing Pharmacy Programs, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Insurance Setting. This Includes Experience In Developing And Implementing Pharmacy Policies And Procedures, Managing Budgets, And Overseeing A Team Of Pharmacy Professionals.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Manager, The Pharmacy Program Manager Must Have Strong Leadership Skills To Effectively Guide And Motivate Their Team. They Must Also Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Other Departments, Healthcare Providers, And External Stakeholders.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations And Compliance: A Pharmacy Program Manager Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Pharmacy And Healthcare. This Includes Knowledge Of Pharmacy Benefit Management, Drug Formularies, And Medication Therapy Management.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: Aetna's Pharmacy Program Manager Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Data, Identify Trends, And Make Informed Decisions To Optimize Pharmacy Programs And Improve Patient Outcomes. They Must Also Have Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Address Any Issues That May Arise In The Management Of Pharmacy Programs.
