  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective healthcare services to Aetna members.
  2. Negotiate contracts with healthcare providers to ensure optimal network coverage and competitive rates.
  3. Continuously monitor and evaluate provider performance to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to address any issues.
  4. Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and make informed decisions related to network contracting.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams, such as provider relations and finance, to develop and implement network strategies that align with business goals.
  6. Manage contract renewals and negotiations, including conducting market analysis and evaluating the financial impact of proposed changes.
  7. Lead the development and implementation of value-based reimbursement models to drive quality and cost efficiency.
  8. Communicate and collaborate with providers regarding Aetna's policies, procedures, and expectations.
  9. Evaluate and analyze network data to identify opportunities for network optimization and cost savings.
  10. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure contracts are in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  11. Act as a subject matter expert in network contracting and healthcare industry trends, providing guidance and support to other teams as needed.
  12. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including providers, Aetna leadership, and external partners.
  13. Represent Aetna at industry conferences and events to promote our brand and network capabilities.
  14. Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to streamline contracting processes and increase efficiency.
  15. Train and mentor team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success in managing provider relationships and contracts.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Network Contract Management Or Provider Relations.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Managed Care And Healthcare Industry Trends.

  • Excellent Negotiation And Communication Skills.
