  4. Provide strategic direction and leadership to the healthcare management team.

  8. Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of healthcare management staff.

  11. Represent the organization in professional events and conferences to promote our mission and values.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution: A Medical Director At Aetna Must Have A Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution, Such As A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do), To Ensure A Strong Understanding Of Medical Principles And Practices.

  • Board Certification In A Relevant Medical Specialty: Aetna Seeks Candidates With Board Certification In A Relevant Medical Specialty, Such As Internal Medicine Or Family Medicine, To Demonstrate A High Level Of Expertise And Knowledge In A Specific Area Of Healthcare.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Clinical Experience: To Succeed As A Medical Director At Aetna, Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Clinical Experience, Preferably In A Leadership Or Management Role. This Experience Provides A Strong Foundation For Understanding Patient Care And Healthcare Delivery.

  • Previous Experience In Healthcare Management: Aetna Values Candidates With Previous Experience In Healthcare Management, As This Role Requires The Ability To Oversee And Guide The Operations Of Medical Facilities And Teams.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Leader Within Aetna, The Medical Director Must Have Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Medical Professionals, Patients, And Other Stakeholders.
