
EAP Counselor (Employee Assistance Program)

- Provide confidential and professional counseling services to employees facing personal or work-related challenges through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
- Conduct initial assessments and develop treatment plans for employees seeking assistance through the EAP.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions and techniques to support employees in managing stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns.
- Collaborate with internal and external resources to refer employees to appropriate community services and resources.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all counseling sessions and treatment plans.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of confidentiality and informed consent.
- Conduct follow-up sessions with employees to monitor progress and provide ongoing support.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to employees experiencing acute mental health issues.
- Develop and facilitate workshops and presentations on mental health and wellness topics for employees.
- Stay updated on current research and trends in the field of mental health counseling and incorporate this knowledge into practice.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with Aetna employees and other stakeholders.
- Participate in training and supervision opportunities to enhance professional development.
- Collaborate with the EAP team to develop and implement programs and initiatives that promote employee well-being.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to EAP services.
- Continuously evaluate and improve EAP services to meet the changing needs of employees.
Master's Degree In Counseling, Psychology, Or Social Work From An Accredited University.
2+ Years Of Experience In Providing Counseling Services, Preferably In A Corporate Or Employee Assistance Program Setting.
Knowledge Of And Experience With A Variety Of Therapeutic Techniques And Interventions, Including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy And Solution-Focused Therapy.
Strong Understanding Of And Experience With Workplace Issues And Dynamics, Including Stress Management, Conflict Resolution, And Substance Abuse.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Rapport And Establish Trust With Clients From Diverse Backgrounds.
