  1. Develop and implement vendor management strategies to ensure high-quality and cost-effective healthcare solutions for members of Aetna Better Health of New Jersey.
  2. Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors, negotiating contracts and managing vendor performance to ensure compliance with agreed-upon standards and metrics.
  3. Oversee the selection and onboarding process for new vendors, conducting thorough evaluations and due diligence to ensure they meet Aetna’s standards for quality and cost-effectiveness.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and innovation in vendor management and participant-directed care, and develop and implement strategies to address them.
  5. Monitor and analyze vendor performance data, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and implementing corrective action plans as needed.
  6. Ensure that vendors are compliant with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, and take appropriate action to address any non-compliance issues.
  7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, communicating vendor management strategies and outcomes to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  8. Lead and mentor a team of vendor management professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to help them achieve their full potential.
  9. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in vendor management and participant-directed care, and proactively identify opportunities to apply them to Aetna’s operations.
  10. Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and legal, to ensure that all vendor relationships are financially sound and legally compliant.
  11. Represent Aetna in vendor-related meetings and negotiations, advocating for the best interests of the company and its members.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Vendor Management, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Insurance Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Participant-Directed Services And Knowledge Of Applicable Laws And Regulations.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Vendors And Stakeholders.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Vendor Contracts, Budgets, And Performance Metrics.
