  1. Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
  2. Conduct thorough audits and reviews of company processes and practices to identify and address potential compliance issues.
  3. Collaborate with various departments within the organization to ensure compliance measures are integrated into daily operations.
  4. Communicate and train employees on compliance policies and procedures to promote a culture of ethical and responsible practices.
  5. Stay up-to-date on changes in healthcare laws and regulations and ensure the organization is in compliance with these changes.
  6. Investigate any reported compliance violations and take appropriate corrective actions.
  7. Maintain accurate and organized records of all compliance-related activities.
  8. Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory agencies and senior management.
  9. Act as a liaison between the organization and regulatory agencies during audits and inspections.
  10. Develop and maintain relationships with external compliance professionals and stay informed about industry best practices.
  11. Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies to prevent potential compliance issues.
  12. Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for process enhancements to ensure ongoing compliance.
  13. Collaborate with the legal team to ensure compliance with legal requirements and mitigate potential legal risks.
  14. Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance-related matters and provide guidance and support to employees at all levels.
  15. Uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations: A Compliance Manager At Aetna Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Related To The Healthcare Industry, Including Hipaa, Aca, And Medicare/Medicaid.

  • Experience In Compliance Management: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Compliance Management, Preferably In The Healthcare Field. This Includes Experience Developing Compliance Policies And Procedures, Conducting Audits, And Implementing Corrective Actions.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: A Compliance Manager Should Have The Ability To Analyze Complex Information And Data To Identify Potential Compliance Issues And Develop Effective Solutions To Mitigate Risks.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Compliance Manager, The Individual Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Various Stakeholders, Including Regulatory Bodies, Internal Teams, And External Partners. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential.

  • Relevant Education And Certifications: Aetna Prefers Candidates With A Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business, Or A Related Field. Professional Certifications Such As Certified In Healthcare Compliance (Chc) Or Certified Compliance And Ethics Professional (Ccep) Are Also Highly Desirable.
