Job Description

  1. Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and company standards.
  2. Monitor and assess the organization's compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
  4. Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance matters, including the interpretation of laws and regulations.
  5. Investigate and address any potential compliance violations or instances of non-compliance, and develop action plans to prevent future occurrences.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement compliance measures for new products and services.
  7. Stay informed of changes in laws and regulations related to the healthcare industry, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
  8. Act as the point of contact for external regulatory agencies and respond to inquiries and audits.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders, such as legal and risk management teams, to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to compliance.
  10. Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and make recommendations for improvement.
  11. Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of compliance programs and make recommendations for enhancements.
  12. Maintain accurate and detailed records of compliance activities, including reports, policies, and training materials.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations: A Successful Compliance Manager At Aetna Must Possess A Deep Understanding Of Federal And State Regulations, Such As Hipaa, Aca, And Medicare/Medicaid, As Well As Industry Standards And Best Practices.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Ability To Analyze Complex Data, Identify Potential Compliance Issues, And Develop Effective Solutions Is Crucial For A Compliance Manager In The Healthcare Industry.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Compliance Manager Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Various Stakeholders, Such As Regulators, Executives, And Employees, To Ensure Compliance With Regulations And Promote A Culture Of Compliance Within The Organization.

  • Experience In Compliance Management: Aetna Requires Candidates For The Compliance Manager Position To Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In A Compliance Role, Preferably In The Healthcare Industry. Experience With Compliance Audits, Investigations, And Training Is Also Highly Desirable.

  • Attention To Detail And Organizational Skills: The Healthcare Industry Is Highly Regulated, And Compliance Managers Must Have Exceptional Attention To Detail And Organizational Skills To Manage And Track Various Compliance Requirements, Deadlines, And Documentation.
