Compliance Manager (Healthcare)

- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and company standards.
- Monitor and assess the organization's compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance matters, including the interpretation of laws and regulations.
- Investigate and address any potential compliance violations or instances of non-compliance, and develop action plans to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement compliance measures for new products and services.
- Stay informed of changes in laws and regulations related to the healthcare industry, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Act as the point of contact for external regulatory agencies and respond to inquiries and audits.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders, such as legal and risk management teams, to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to compliance.
- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and make recommendations for improvement.
- Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of compliance programs and make recommendations for enhancements.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of compliance activities, including reports, policies, and training materials.
Extensive Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations: A Successful Compliance Manager At Aetna Must Possess A Deep Understanding Of Federal And State Regulations, Such As Hipaa, Aca, And Medicare/Medicaid, As Well As Industry Standards And Best Practices.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Ability To Analyze Complex Data, Identify Potential Compliance Issues, And Develop Effective Solutions Is Crucial For A Compliance Manager In The Healthcare Industry.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Compliance Manager Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Various Stakeholders, Such As Regulators, Executives, And Employees, To Ensure Compliance With Regulations And Promote A Culture Of Compliance Within The Organization.
Experience In Compliance Management: Aetna Requires Candidates For The Compliance Manager Position To Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In A Compliance Role, Preferably In The Healthcare Industry. Experience With Compliance Audits, Investigations, And Training Is Also Highly Desirable.
Attention To Detail And Organizational Skills: The Healthcare Industry Is Highly Regulated, And Compliance Managers Must Have Exceptional Attention To Detail And Organizational Skills To Manage And Track Various Compliance Requirements, Deadlines, And Documentation.
