  1. Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to ethical and regulatory standards in the healthcare industry.
  2. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and address any compliance gaps or violations.
  3. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and changes in laws to ensure Aetna's compliance practices are current and effective.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide guidance and support on compliance-related matters.
  5. Train and educate employees on compliance policies and procedures to promote a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
  6. Investigate and resolve any identified compliance issues, taking appropriate corrective actions and making recommendations for process improvements.
  7. Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and participate in compliance audits and inquiries.
  8. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of compliance efforts and report findings to senior management.
  9. Implement and oversee a confidential reporting system for employees to report potential compliance violations or concerns.
  10. Partner with legal and human resources teams to address any compliance-related employee issues or concerns.
  11. Conduct due diligence on third-party vendors to ensure they meet compliance standards.
  12. Stay informed of industry best practices and make recommendations for continuous improvement of the compliance program.
  13. Proactively identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  14. Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of compliance and ethical business practices.
  15. Represent Aetna in compliance-related meetings, conferences, and trainings.

Job Qualifications
  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Healthcare Compliance Regulations: A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Federal And State Regulations Related To Healthcare Compliance, Such As Hipaa, Medicare And Medicaid, And The Affordable Care Act.

  • Experience In Managing Compliance Programs: A Compliance Manager At Aetna Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Developing And Implementing Effective Compliance Programs In A Healthcare Setting. This Includes Conducting Risk Assessments, Creating Policies And Procedures, And Monitoring Compliance Activities.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Compliance Manager, You Will Need To Communicate Complex Compliance Issues To A Variety Of Stakeholders, Including Senior Management, Employees, And External Auditors. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Abilities: Compliance Managers Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Data And Information To Identify Potential Compliance Risks And Develop Strategies To Mitigate Them. They Should Also Have The Ability To Think Critically And Find Solutions To Compliance Issues That May Arise.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Best Practices: Aetna Is Committed To Maintaining The Highest Standards Of Compliance In The Healthcare Industry. The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Industry Best Practices And Stay Updated On Any Changes Or Developments In The Field.
