Software Engineer (Embedded)

AeroVironment is seeking an exceptionally talented Software Engineer (Embedded) to join our team. We're looking for a creative and innovative problem solver who is passionate about developing embedded software for our cutting-edge products.This individual must have a strong technical background and understanding of embedded software development principles and practices. They should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to collaborate with other teams to ensure our products are of the highest quality.We are looking for someone who is a self-starter and is eager to learn. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude and be able to work independently as well as in a team setting.The successful candidate should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with at least five years of experience in embedded software development. In addition, the candidate should have a thorough understanding of C/C++, embedded operating systems such as Linux and/or Windows CE, and experience with debugging tools such as GDB and JTAG. Experience with real-time operating systems and developing applications for ARM Cortex-M and/or AVR microcontrollers is also preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Develop embedded software for AeroVironment products
• Utilize C/C++, embedded operating systems such as Linux and/or Windows CE
• Debug software using GDB and JTAG
• Design and implement applications for ARM Cortex-M and/or AVR microcontrollers
• Maintain high quality standards for software development
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure successful product delivery
• Remain current on cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices
• Keep up to date on software development trends and new technologies
