Manage a team of certification, reliability and safety engineers including budget planning, staffing, training, performance evaluations and career development Manage the airworthiness requirements, design and development of new. Unmanned Aircraft System products as well as product changes and enhancements. Act as the point of contact with the FAA and/or other country regulatory agencies for establishing certification plans. Ensure the HAPS Business Unit has effective airworthiness policy and procedures to comply with all internal and external Quality Management System and Industry Standards (i.e., internal command media, AS9100:D, ISO, etc.). Act as customer point of contact for the Business Unit’s airworthiness technical discussions. Perform detailed airworthiness briefings to HAPS VP, AeroVironment management and customers executives. Assists with system design reviews as well as support input to test plans and procedures, supports program-specific system safety working groups.
