Engineering Development Technician

Conduct mechanical and electrical testing and troubleshooting of integrated systems. Use a variety of machine shop tools and other items including CNC mills, 3D printers, as well as a variety of internal laboratory tools. Requires use of soldering iron to assist with electrical assembly. Assist with designing and conducting tests including experiments, ground testing and flight testing Meet scheduled timelines and, in some cases, aggressive deadlines to have hardware ready for project milestones. Effectively document important processes and build techniques for successful readiness of equipment and transition of responsibilities to other individuals. Follow engineering designs and building concepts/prototypes and assist with testing and data collection. Often times the designs may be incomplete and will require independent design and back and forth communication to finalize and prototype.
