Project Engineer/estimator
Looking for an entry level employee with a couple years’ experience working in the construction industry, preferably with an education in Construction. This role will primarily focus on the pre-construction estimating phase of our projects. The role will also consist of project engineering responsibilities throughout the length of the current projects. Take on the main responsibility of Estimating potential future projects. Provide organized and detailed material take-offs using various programs of each system within our scope. Document Management, Procurement and status updates on current projects. Field management consisting of progress photos, QC, and coordination with General and project Foreman. Remain in constant contact with field employees to ensure on time delivery of materials and equipment to keep them working efficiently. Constant communication with shop employees for an efficient fabrication process.
Basic understanding of reading and processing drawings, sections, details of the Architectural and Structural Drawings package
Organized and diligent in staying current with 3-5 projects at one time
Able to react quickly to the needs of the hottest items for each project
