- Develop and implement strategic procurement initiatives to drive the success of the organization.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
- Evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations for improvements.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to continuously improve procurement processes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality products and services.
- Manage the procurement budget and ensure cost savings are achieved.
- Provide guidance and support to junior procurement advisors and other team members.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in the procurement process.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulations.
- Present procurement strategies and updates to senior management.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on procurement processes and policies.
- Act as a liaison between Aegon and external suppliers.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the procurement team.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Procurement, Preferably In A Strategic Role.
Proven Track Record Of Developing And Implementing Successful Procurement Strategies.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Make Data-Driven Decisions.
Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Internal And External Stakeholders.
