  1. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to retirement plans and products.
  2. Regularly review and update retirement plan documents to ensure compliance with changing laws and regulations.
  3. Conduct thorough audits of retirement plans and products to identify any potential compliance issues.
  4. Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to stay informed of any changes to retirement laws and regulations.
  5. Advise and provide guidance to internal teams on compliance issues and potential solutions.
  6. Monitor and analyze industry trends and developments in retirement compliance to ensure Aegon's products and plans remain competitive and compliant.
  7. Assist in the development and implementation of compliance training for Aegon employees.
  8. Stay up-to-date on compliance best practices and make recommendations for improvements to current processes.
  9. Communicate and interact with external regulatory bodies as needed.
  10. Maintain accurate and organized records of compliance activities and documentation.
  11. Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement new retirement products and plans while ensuring compliance.
  12. Proactively identify and address potential compliance risks within Aegon's retirement offerings.
  13. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits.
  14. Act as a subject matter expert on retirement compliance issues and provide guidance to colleagues as needed.
  15. Continuously assess and improve Aegon's compliance program to ensure the highest level of integrity and adherence to regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Retirement Compliance Regulations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Federal And State Regulations Related To Retirement Plans, Including Erisa, Irs Regulations, And Dol Rules.

  • Experience In Retirement Plan Administration: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience Working With Retirement Plans, Preferably In A Compliance Or Administrative Role. This Includes Experience With Plan Design, Testing, And Reporting.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As A Consultant, The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Clients, Team Members, And Regulators Is Crucial. Candidates Should Be Able To Explain Complex Compliance Issues In A Clear And Concise Manner.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: Retirement Compliance Consultants Must Be Able To Analyze Data, Identify Potential Compliance Issues, And Develop Solutions To Address Them. Strong Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.

  • Relevant Education And Certifications: Aegon May Require Candidates To Have A Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field, Such As Finance, Accounting, Or Business Administration. Additionally, Certifications Such As Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (Cebs) Or Certified Retirement Counselor (Crc) Are Highly Valued For This Position.
