Health & Safety Specialist
Supports required contractor project specific safety training at the Client work sites. Attend weekly/monthly progress meetings if necessary. Ensures contractors and their personnel have implemented training programs as mandated by Federal, state and local laws. Advises site department heads and supervisors in Project Management matters dealing with health and safety programs. Communicates the results of industrial hygiene field monitoring and laboratory results to the Client Resident Construction Manager and site Environmental Health and Safety. Monitors contractor personnel are provided with the necessary equipment and systems required for programs such as accident prevention, confined space, hazard communication, fall protection and electrical safety, in accordance to applicable regulations and the contractors Site Specific safety Plan. Monitor Regulatory compliance to all applicable project permits. Overall compliance to GM 1638 safety requirements. Review of Construction Safety Contract Management.
4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience
Maintain standing as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (“CIH”)
OSHA 30 hour certified
