Job Description

Provide air quality compliance services to key clients and to participate in other environmental projects and tasks as needed. Utilize the web-based programs, Air Program Information Management System (APIMS) database, including the Storage Tank Accounting & Reporting (STAR) and the Enterprise. Environmental Safety and Occupational Health (EESOH) systems. Responsible for assisting in the implementation of key strategic initiatives for improving air quality compliance at Department of Defense (DoD) installations. Provide technical and data management support to DoD air quality professionals on compliance issues, including their use of required data management systems. Research, review, and analyze relevant air quality policy and regulations. Calculate air emissions according to scientific and regulatory standards. Perform analytics necessary on large data sets to prepare air reports and permits for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience with the use of web-based data management systems is preferred.

  • General understanding of the Clean Air Act.

  • Experience in general air regulations and permits is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Air Force Civil Engineering policies and procedures is preferred.

  • Certification in quality and process improvement procedures, such as Six Sigma or ISO-9001 is preferred
