- Provide support and guidance to new parents through their journey of parenthood.
- Educate and empower parents on best practices for caring for their newborn.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for new families.
- Utilize knowledge and experience in early childhood development to assist parents in understanding their child's needs.
- Develop and implement individualized plans for each family, tailored to their unique needs and goals.
- Foster a trusting relationship with parents based on empathy, compassion, and confidentiality.
- Serve as a resource for parents, offering information and referrals to community resources as needed.
- Conduct regular check-ins with families to monitor progress and address any concerns or challenges.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for families.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and stay updated on current research and trends in early childhood development and parenting.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of interactions and progress for each family.
- Uphold the values and mission of AdventHealth in all interactions with families and team members.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures regarding patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Actively participate in team meetings, trainings, and other professional development opportunities.
- Continuously strive to improve the program and services offered to families.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working With Families And Children, Preferably In A Coaching Or Counseling Role.
Strong Understanding Of Child Development, Family Dynamics, And Community Resources.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Rapport And Trust With Diverse Populations.
Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Parenting Strategies And Techniques, Such As Positive Discipline, Attachment-Based Parenting, And Behavioral Management.
