- Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner, following AdventHealth's customer service standards.
- Direct calls to the appropriate department or individual based on the caller's needs.
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information to callers regarding services, locations, and contact information.
- Utilize phone and computer systems to transfer calls, take messages, and schedule appointments.
- Assist in resolving any issues or complaints from callers, escalating to appropriate personnel when necessary.
- Maintain a friendly and welcoming tone in all interactions with callers, creating a positive first impression of AdventHealth.
- Keep track of call volumes and report any issues or trends to the appropriate supervisor.
- Attend training sessions and stay updated on AdventHealth's services, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient and employee information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless communication and exceptional customer service.
- Handle emergency calls with utmost urgency and follow proper protocols.
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
Excellent Communication Skills: A Telephone Operator At Adventhealth Must Possess Exceptional Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Visitors, And Hospital Staff.
Proficiency In Telephone Systems: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Proficient In Using Various Telephone Systems And Equipment, Including Multi-Line Phone Systems, Headsets, And Voicemail.
Strong Customer Service Skills: As A Telephone Operator, It Is Important To Have A Strong Customer Service Orientation To Provide A Positive And Professional Experience To Callers.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Basic Understanding Of Medical Terminology Is Essential For A Telephone Operator At Adventhealth, As They May Need To Assist Callers With Medical Questions Or Direct Them To The Appropriate Department.
