- Prepare Operating Room: The Surgical Technician will be responsible for preparing the operating room for surgical procedures, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Assist Surgeons and Nurses: The Surgical Technician will work closely with surgeons and nurses during procedures, passing instruments, and providing support as needed.
- Maintain Sterile Environment: The Surgical Technician will be responsible for maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room, including monitoring and maintaining sterile equipment and supplies.
- Anticipate Surgeon's Needs: The Surgical Technician will anticipate the needs of the surgeon during procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and supplies are readily available.
- Troubleshoot Equipment: In the event of equipment malfunctions, the Surgical Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues quickly to minimize any disruptions to the surgical procedure.
- Provide Emotional Support: The Surgical Technician will provide emotional support to patients before, during, and after procedures, helping to alleviate any fears or concerns.

- Stay Updated on Industry Trends: The Surgical Technician will stay updated on industry trends and advancements, attending trainings and continuing education courses as necessary.
- Maintain Cleanliness: The Surgical Technician will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the operating room before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist with Patient Transportation: The Surgical Technician may be responsible for assisting with patient transportation to and from the operating room.
- Adhere to HIPAA Regulations: The Surgical Technician will adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Completion Of An Accredited Surgical Technology Program Or Equivalent Training.
Certification As A Surgical Technologist (Cst) Through The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Surgical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Knowledge Of Surgical Equipment And Instrumentation, As Well As Sterile And Aseptic Techniques.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced, High-Stress Environment And Collaborate Effectively With A Multidisciplinary Surgical Team.
