
Supervisor, Patient Access

- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the patient access department, ensuring a high level of efficiency and quality of service.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the patient access team, including training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure that all patient information is accurately entered and maintained in the electronic health record system.
- Monitor patient flow and identify potential bottlenecks, making necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless patient experience, from scheduling appointments to check-in and registration.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the overall patient access process.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of insurance regulations and requirements to ensure proper billing and reimbursement.
- Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to address any issues or concerns.
- Monitor and maintain department budget, including tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in patient access to continuously improve processes and procedures.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration among team members.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Serve as a role model for exceptional customer service, demonstrating empathy and compassion towards patients and their families.
- Represent the patient access department in meetings and committees as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by upper management.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration Or Related Field.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills.
Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Patient Access Or Healthcare Administration.
Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations And Insurance Processes.
