Job Description

In this role, you will provide leadership and support to our patient access team, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of patients through our healthcare system.   1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the patient access department, ensuring a high level of efficiency and quality of service.
  2. Provide leadership and guidance to the patient access team, including training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  3. Ensure that all patient information is accurately entered and maintained in the electronic health record system.
  4. Monitor patient flow and identify potential bottlenecks, making necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless patient experience, from scheduling appointments to check-in and registration.
  6. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the overall patient access process.
  7. Maintain a thorough understanding of insurance regulations and requirements to ensure proper billing and reimbursement.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to address any issues or concerns.
  9. Monitor and maintain department budget, including tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in patient access to continuously improve processes and procedures.
  11. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration among team members.
  12. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to patient privacy and confidentiality.
  13. Serve as a role model for exceptional customer service, demonstrating empathy and compassion towards patients and their families.
  14. Represent the patient access department in meetings and committees as needed.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by upper management.
