Job Description

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and quality of our surgical procedures by properly sterilizing and maintaining all surgical instruments and equipment.   1. Properly sterilize and maintain all surgical instruments and equipment according to industry standards and AdventHealth policies.
  2. Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and prevent the spread of infections.
  3. Monitor and document sterilization processes to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
  4. Communicate effectively with surgical staff to ensure all instruments and equipment are readily available and properly prepared for procedures.
  5. Keep accurate records of instrument inventory and maintenance schedules.
  6. Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
  7. Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to maintain a high standard of patient care.

  10. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote an efficient and safe work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Follow Strict Protocols And Procedures.

  • Certified Sterile Processing Technician (Cspdt) Or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (Crcst) Certification From An Accredited Program.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Experience Working In A Sterile Processing Department Or Operating Room Setting.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Sterilization Techniques, Infection Control Practices, And Medical Equipment Processing.

  • Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment.
