Certified Sterile Processing Technician: A Minimum Of Two Years Of Experience And Certification From A Recognized Organization, Such As The Certification Board For Sterile Processing And Distribution (Cbspd) Or The International Association Of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (Iahcsmm), Is Required.
Knowledge Of Sterilization Techniques: Proficiency In A Variety Of Sterilization Techniques, Including Steam, Gas, And Chemical, Is Necessary To Ensure Proper Disinfection And Sterilization Of Medical Equipment.
Understanding Of Infection Control: A Thorough Understanding Of Infection Control Principles And Practices Is Essential To Prevent The Spread Of Infections And Maintain A Safe And Sterile Working Environment.
Attention To Detail: A Strong Attention To Detail Is Crucial In This Role To Ensure That All Instruments And Equipment Are Properly Cleaned, Assembled, And Sterilized According To Established Protocols.
