  1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, and communication disorders in patients of all ages.
  2. Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient needs.
  3. Implement evidence-based therapy techniques and strategies to improve speech and language skills in patients.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  5. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  6. Educate patients and their families on exercises and activities to continue therapy progress at home.
  7. Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of speech and language therapy through continued education and training.
  8. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the provision of care to patients.
  9. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and progress reports.
  10. Participate in team meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary discussions regarding patient care.
  11. Collaborate with insurance companies and complete necessary paperwork for reimbursement of services provided.
  12. Serve as a patient advocate and provide support and resources to patients and their families.
  13. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following all infection control and safety protocols.
  14. Adhere to the mission, vision, and values of AdventHealth, promoting compassionate care and exceptional service to patients.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of speech and language therapy.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology Is Required For A Speech Pathologist Position At Adventhealth. This Degree Ensures That The Candidate Has Received Proper Training And Education In The Field Of Speech And Language Disorders.

  • Certificate Of Clinical Competence (Ccc): Adventhealth Requires Candidates For Speech Pathologist Positions To Hold A Certificate Of Clinical Competence (Ccc) From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha). This Certification Demonstrates The Candidate's Competence And Expertise In The Field.

  • State Licensure: All Speech Pathologists At Adventhealth Must Hold A Valid State License To Practice Speech-Language Pathology. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The State's Requirements For Education And Clinical Experience.

  • Experience With A Variety Of Populations: Adventhealth Seeks Candidates With Experience Working With A Diverse Range Of Patients, Including Children And Adults With Speech And Language Disorders. This Experience Can Be Gained Through Clinical Internships, Volunteer Work, Or Previous Employment.
