AdventHealth is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Senior Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of medications to our patients.   1. Dispensing Medications: The Senior Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for accurately and efficiently dispensing medications to patients in accordance with all state and federal laws and regulations.
  2. Patient Care: The Senior Pharmacy Technician will provide exceptional patient care by answering questions, providing medication counseling, and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
  3. Inventory Management: The Senior Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for managing and maintaining inventory levels, including ordering and stocking medications, and ensuring proper storage and handling.
  4. Compliance: The Senior Pharmacy Technician will ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations, including proper documentation and record-keeping.
  5. Team Collaboration: The Senior Pharmacy Technician will work closely with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and medication management.
  6. Training and Mentoring: The Senior Pharmacy Technician will assist in training and mentoring other pharmacy technicians, sharing their knowledge and expertise to ensure a high level of performance and compliance within the pharmacy team.
  7. Quality Control: The Senior Pharmacy Technician will perform quality control checks on all medications and ensure the accuracy and safety of all prescriptions filled.
  8. Communication: The Senior Pharmacy Technician will communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other team members to ensure the safe and timely delivery of medications.
  9. Problem-Solving: The Senior Pharmacy Technician will use critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities to address any issues that may arise during the medication dispensing process.
  10. Continuous Improvement: The Senior Pharmacy Technician will actively participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and quality of pharmacy operations.
  11. Adherence to Policies and Procedures: The Senior Pharmacy Technician will adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by AdventHealth, including those related to patient safety, infection control, and medication management.
  12. Professional Development: The Senior Pharmacy Technician will stay up-to-date with industry developments and trends, and continuously seek opportunities for professional development to enhance their knowledge and skills.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) With At Least 3 Years Of Experience In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations, Including Medication Dispensing And Inventory Management.

  • Proficiency In Pharmacy Software Systems, Such As Epic Or Cerner, And Ability To Troubleshoot Technical Issues.

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Other Team Members.

  • Demonstrated Leadership Skills And Ability To Supervise And Train Other Pharmacy Technicians.
