Job Description

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Senior Administrative Assistant in the Emergency Department at AdventHealth. In this role, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our busy emergency department, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality care.   1. Coordinate and manage the daily administrative operations of the Emergency Department.
  2. Schedule and prioritize appointments, meetings, and events for the department.
  3. Maintain and update patient records and files accurately and efficiently.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth running of the department.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless communication and workflow.
  6. Utilize strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  8. Assist in the preparation and distribution of reports, presentations, and other documents.
  9. Act as a point of contact for inquiries, complaints, and concerns from patients, families, and staff.
  10. Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve department efficiency and effectiveness.
  11. Train and mentor junior administrative staff to ensure consistency and quality in the department's operations.
  12. Proactively identify and troubleshoot any potential issues or problems and report them to the appropriate personnel.
  13. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and workflows to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
  14. Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and regulations.
  15. Participate in meetings and conferences to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  16. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the hospital and department.
  17. Continuously strive to uphold the hospital's mission, vision, and values in all interactions and tasks.
  18. Perform other related duties as assigned by the department manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In An Administrative Support Role, Preferably In A Fast-Paced Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Organizational Skills And Ability To Multitask And Prioritize Tasks Effectively.

  • Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, With The Ability To Interact Professionally With All Levels Of Staff And Patients.

  • Proficient Computer Skills, Including Microsoft Office And Electronic Medical Records Systems.

  • Knowledge Of Emergency Department Operations And Procedures, Including Scheduling, Patient Flow, And Medical Terminology.
