RN, Risk Management Specialist

- Conduct risk assessments: Perform thorough evaluations of potential risks within the healthcare facility and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Develop risk management plans: Create and implement comprehensive risk management plans to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
- Monitor compliance: Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and policies.
- Investigate incidents: Investigate any incidents or accidents that occur within the facility and provide recommendations for improvement to prevent future occurrences.
- Analyze data: Collect and analyze data related to risk management to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: Work closely with healthcare teams to identify potential risks and develop strategies for preventing them.
- Provide training and education: Develop and implement training programs to educate staff on risk management protocols and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry standards: Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory standards related to risk management.
- Communicate effectively: Maintain open communication with all stakeholders, including patients, staff, and management, regarding risk management protocols and procedures.
- Uphold patient confidentiality: Adhere to all HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines while handling sensitive information related to risk management.
- Maintain accurate documentation: Ensure all risk management activities and incidents are accurately documented for legal and regulatory purposes.
- Participate in risk management committees: Participate in risk management committees and provide input on strategies for improving patient and staff safety.
- Collaborate with legal team: Work closely with the legal team to mitigate potential legal risks and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Demonstrate professionalism: Uphold professional and ethical standards while carrying out all responsibilities related to risk management.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field: A Rn, Risk Management Specialist At Adventhealth Must Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or A Related Field. This Education Provides A Strong Foundation In Healthcare And Clinical Knowledge.
Active Rn Licensure: A Valid And Active Rn License Is A Must For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met All The Requirements To Practice As A Registered Nurse And Is Up-To-Date With Any Necessary Certifications Or Continuing Education.
Previous Experience In Risk Management: Adventhealth Is Seeking Candidates With Prior Experience In Risk Management. This Could Include Experience In Identifying And Mitigating Potential Risks In Healthcare Settings, As Well As Knowledge Of Regulatory Compliance And Quality Improvement Processes.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Rn, Risk Management Specialist, Effective Communication Is Essential. The Candidate Must Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Effectively With Healthcare Professionals, Patients, And Other Stakeholders To Promote A Culture Of Safety And Risk Reduction.
Attention To Detail And Critical Thinking Skills: Risk Management Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail And The Ability To Think Critically.
