Job Description

As an RN in our Labor and Delivery department, you will play a crucial role in bringing new life into the world and supporting expectant mothers and their families during this special time. We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic RN with a passion for women's health and experience in labor and delivery.   1. Provide compassionate care to expectant mothers and their families during their labor and delivery experience.
  2. Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure the safety and well-being of mother and baby.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Assist with the delivery of babies and provide immediate care to newborns.
  5. Educate patients and their families on labor and delivery procedures, postpartum care, and newborn care.
  6. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation.
  8. Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the healthcare team.
  9. Create a positive and comforting environment for patients and their families during the labor and delivery process.
  10. Utilize critical thinking skills to anticipate and respond to potential complications during labor and delivery.
  11. Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families throughout their labor and delivery experience.
  12. Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve clinical skills.
  13. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  14. Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
  15. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote a culture of excellence in patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Program.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Labor And Delivery.

  • Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Employment.

  • Completion Of Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Nrp) And Advanced Fetal Monitoring Course.
