- Provide exceptional and compassionate care to neonatal patients and their families in the NICU.
- Utilize advanced nursing skills to assess and monitor the health status of neonatal patients, including vital signs, oxygen levels, and feeding patterns.
- Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
- Educate patients and their families on neonatal care, including proper feeding and developmental milestones.
- Monitor and maintain equipment and supplies in the NICU, ensuring they are in good working condition for patient use.
- Document patient care and progress accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
- Advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed and met.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare team members regarding patient status and changes in condition.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients, families, and staff.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current on best practices and advancements in neonatal care.
- Support and mentor new nurses and other team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to families during difficult and challenging times.
- Continuously work to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction through quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practices.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
Active Rn License In The State Of Employment.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Nicu Setting.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.
Current Bls And Nrp Certifications.
Willingness To Work Full-Time Night Shifts With Flexibility To Cover Occasional Day Shifts As Needed.
