Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your skills and expertise to provide high-quality care and support to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. As an RN in our Endoscopy department, you will play a crucial role in our patient's journey to better health.   1. Provide exceptional care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
  2. Utilize nursing skills and expertise to ensure high-quality patient care.
  3. Prepare patients for procedures and provide education on the process and potential outcomes.
  4. Monitor patients during procedures and provide necessary support and interventions.
  5. Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
  6. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  7. Document patient information accurately and efficiently.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  9. Ensure patient safety and adhere to infection control protocols.
  10. Maintain equipment and supplies necessary for endoscopic procedures.
  11. Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on new techniques and technologies.
  12. Advocate for patients and their families to ensure their needs are met.
  13. Follow hospital policies and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  14. Serve as a role model for other staff members and uphold the mission and values of AdventHealth.
  15. Attend department meetings and actively participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field: A Rn, Endoscopy Must Have A Strong Foundation In Nursing Principles And Practices, Which Is Typically Obtained Through A Bachelor's Degree Program.

  • Active Rn License: To Work As A Rn, Endoscopy At Adventhealth, Candidates Must Have A Current, Valid License To Practice Nursing In The State Where The Facility Is Located.

  • Endoscopy Experience: Prior Experience Working In An Endoscopy Unit Is Typically Required For This Position. This Could Include Experience In Pre-Procedure, Intra-Procedure, And Post-Procedure Care, As Well As Knowledge Of Endoscopy Equipment And Procedures.

  • Bls And Acls Certification: Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications Are Typically Required For Nurses Working In The Endoscopy Department, As They May Need To Respond To Emergency Situations.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: The Role Of A Rn, Endoscopy Requires Close Collaboration With Physicians, Other Nurses, And Support Staff. Therefore, Candidates Must Possess Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills To Effectively Provide High-Quality Patient Care.
