Job Description

The Rehabilitation Aide at AdventHealth is an integral member of our healthcare team and plays a crucial role in providing support to patients undergoing rehabilitation. We are seeking a compassionate and energetic individual who is dedicated to helping our patients achieve their maximum potential and regain their independence. As a Rehabilitation Aide, you will work closely alongside our licensed therapists to assist with exercises, provide encouragement, and maintain a safe and clean environment for our patients.   1. Provide support to patients undergoing rehabilitation by assisting them with exercises and activities as directed by licensed therapists.
  2. Encourage and motivate patients to achieve their maximum potential and regain their independence.
  3. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients by following infection control and safety protocols.
  4. Collaborate with licensed therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  5. Monitor and record patients' progress and report any changes or concerns to licensed therapists.
  6. Assist with the setup and breakdown of therapy equipment and supplies.
  7. Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy is maintained at all times.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  9. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  10. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations set forth by AdventHealth.
  11. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development.
  12. Maintain a positive and compassionate attitude towards patients, colleagues, and visitors.
  13. Perform other related duties as assigned by licensed therapists or supervisors.
  14. Uphold the values and mission of AdventHealth in all interactions and actions.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong Knowledge Of Physical Therapy Principles And Techniques: A Rehabilitation Aide At Adventhealth Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Physical Therapy Concepts, Including Anatomy, Physiology, And Common Treatment Methods.

  • Experience Working With Patients In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Clinic, Is Essential For A Rehabilitation Aide At Adventhealth. This Will Demonstrate The Ability To Work With Patients And Understand Their Needs.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Effective Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial For A Rehabilitation Aide At Adventhealth. They Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Therapists, And Other Healthcare Professionals, So Strong Communication Skills Are Necessary.

  • Attention To Detail And Ability To Follow Instructions: A Rehabilitation Aide At Adventhealth Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Follow Instructions Accurately. They Will Be Responsible For Assisting Therapists With Treatment Plans, And Any Errors Could Have A Significant Impact On A Patient's Recovery.

  • Physical Stamina And Ability To Lift And Move Patients: This Role Requires Physical Stamina And The Ability To Lift And Move Patients. A Rehabilitation Aide At Adventhealth Should Be Comfortable Assisting Patients With Mobility Exercises And Transferring Them Between Equipment.
