- Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures with precision and accuracy, adhering to established protocols and safety measures.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functionality and quality of images.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Monitor patients during procedures, identifying and reporting any abnormal findings to the appropriate medical staff.
- Maintain patient records and document procedures accurately and thoroughly.

Minimum Education And Certification Requirements: A Registered Ultrasound Technologist At Adventhealth Must Have A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography From An Accredited Program. They Must Also Hold Current Certification By The American Registry Of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (Ardms) Or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (Cci).
Experience In A Hospital Setting: Applicants Must Have A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As An Ultrasound Technologist In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting. This Experience Should Include Performing A Variety Of Ultrasound Procedures, Such As Abdominal, Ob/Gyn, Vascular, And Cardiac Exams.
Proficiency In Ultrasound Technology And Equipment: Candidates Must Demonstrate A Strong Understanding Of Ultrasound Technology And Be Proficient In Operating And Troubleshooting Various Ultrasound Equipment And Software. They Should Also Have Experience With Advanced Imaging Techniques Such As 3D/4D Ultrasound.
Attention To Detail And Patient Care: A Successful Ultrasound Technologist Should Have Excellent Attention To Detail To Ensure Accurate And High-Quality Images Are Obtained. They Should Also Have Strong Communication Skills And Be Able To Provide Compassionate Care To Patients, Making Them Feel Comfortable During Procedures.
Knowledge Of Safety Protocols And Regulations: Adventhealth Places A High Priority On Patient Safety, And Therefore, Applicants Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Regulations Related To Ultrasound Procedures.
