Job Description

Are you a skilled and passionate Ultrasound Technologist looking for a new and exciting opportunity? AdventHealth is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Registered Ultrasound Technologist.   1. Perform ultrasound procedures with accuracy and efficiency, following all established protocols and safety guidelines.
  2. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functioning and reporting any malfunctions.
  3. Prepare and position patients for procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns or questions.
  4. Obtain and accurately document patient medical history and pertinent information.
  5. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze ultrasound images.
  6. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  7. Continuously monitor and assess patient condition during procedures, taking necessary steps to ensure patient comfort and safety.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including stocking and ordering necessary supplies.
  9. Keep up-to-date with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques, incorporating them into practice as appropriate.
  10. Educate patients and their families on procedures and results, providing support and answering any questions.
  11. Complete all required documentation and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  12. Comply with all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  13. Assist with training and mentoring new ultrasound technologists.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  15. Adhere to professional and ethical standards, demonstrating a commitment to delivering compassionate and high-quality patient care.
  16. Maintain ARDMS or ARRT certification and fulfill continuing education requirements.
  17. Participate in on-call and weekend rotations as needed.
  18. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  19. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  20. Represent AdventHealth with professionalism and integrity at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification From The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms) Or The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Ultrasound.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Registered Ultrasound Technologist.

  • Knowledge And Proficiency In A Variety Of Ultrasound Modalities, Including Abdominal, Obstetric, Gynecologic, And Vascular.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team And With Patients From Diverse Backgrounds.
