- Provide compassionate and high-quality care to postpartum patients and their families.
- Monitor and assess postpartum patients' physical and emotional well-being.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Educate and support new mothers in postpartum recovery, including breastfeeding, newborn care, and self-care.
- Monitor and document postpartum patients' vital signs, progress, and any changes in condition.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for postpartum patients and their families.
- Respond to patients' needs and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Advocate for patients' rights and needs.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to new mothers and their families during the postpartum period.
- Maintain and update patients' medical records and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Continuously assess and improve postpartum care practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Serve as a role model for other healthcare team members by upholding AdventHealth's values and standards of behavior.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Or Equivalent
Current And Valid Rn License In The State Of Employment
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Postpartum Care
Bls And Nrp Certifications Required, Acls Preferred
Knowledge And Understanding Of Evidence-Based Practices In Postpartum Care And Ability To Provide Compassionate And Culturally Sensitive Care To New Mothers And Their Infants.
