
Registered Nurse (RN) First Assistant, Surgery

- Assist surgeons during procedures: The Registered Nurse (RN) First Assistant will be responsible for providing direct assistance to surgeons during surgical procedures, including handing instruments, suturing, and performing other tasks as needed.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort: It will be the responsibility of the RN First Assistant to ensure the safety and comfort of patients during surgical procedures. This includes monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing emotional support to patients.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required To Become A Registered Nurse First Assistant (Rnfa) At Adventhealth. This Degree Provides The Necessary Education And Training In Nursing Principles, Patient Care, And Surgical Procedures.
Active Rn License: All Candidates Must Possess An Active And Unrestricted Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Florida. This License Is Required To Practice As An Rnfa And Must Be Maintained Throughout Employment At Adventhealth.
Cnor Certification: Certified Nurse Operating Room (Cnor) Certification Is Preferred For This Position At Adventhealth. This Certification Demonstrates A High Level Of Proficiency And Commitment To The Perioperative Nursing Specialty.
Minimum Of 2 Years Perioperative Nursing Experience: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Perioperative Nursing Experience, With At Least 1 Year Of Experience As A Scrub Nurse Or Circulating Nurse In The Operating Room. This Experience Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Assist In Surgical Procedures As An Rnfa.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification: Acls Certification Is Required For This Position At Adventhealth. This Certification Demonstrates Knowledge And Skills In Managing Cardiac Emergencies And Is Necessary For Providing Safe And Effective Care In The Operating Room Setting.
