• Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in the Postpartum unit
• Utilize nursing skills and knowledge to assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans for new mothers and their newborns
• Monitor and document patient progress and communicate any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
• Educate and support new mothers on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and charts
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and their families
• Act as an advocate for patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and advancements in postpartum care.
