Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition Or Related Field From An Accredited University: A Registered Dietitian At Adventhealth Must Possess A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition Or A Related Field From A Reputable And Accredited University. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In The Principles And Theories Of Nutrition And Can Apply This Knowledge In A Clinical Setting.
Completion Of An Accredited Dietetic Internship Program: Adventhealth Requires Its Registered Dietitians To Have Completed An Accredited Dietetic Internship Program. This Provides The Candidate With Hands-On Experience In Various Areas Of Dietetics, Including Clinical, Community, And Food Service, And Prepares Them For The Diverse Roles They Will Have At Adventhealth.
Registered Dietitian (Rd) Or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (Rdn) Credential: A Candidate For A Registered Dietitian Position At Adventhealth Must Hold The Rd Or Rdn Credential From The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr). This Credential Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Rigorous Education And Experience Requirements Set By The Cdr And Is Qualified To Provide Evidence-Based Nutrition Care.
State Licensure As A Dietitian: In Addition To The Rd/Rdn Credential, Adventhealth Requires Its Registered Dietitians To Hold A State License To Practice As A Dietitian.
