- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities.
- Develop personalized nutrition plans based on individual needs, medical history, and dietary restrictions.
- Educate patients and their families on proper nutrition and healthy eating habits.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress and make adjustments to nutrition plans as needed.
- Stay current with the latest research, trends, and best practices in clinical nutrition.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, progress, and interventions.
- Adhere to all regulatory and ethical standards related to nutrition and patient care.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a resource for healthcare professionals and provide consultations and recommendations as needed.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients and their families.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth within the field of clinical nutrition.
- Comply with all hospital policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Participate in community outreach and education programs related to nutrition and wellness.
- Serve as a role model for healthy living and promote AdventHealth's mission of providing whole-person care.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Healthcare Setting.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nutrition Or Dietetics From An Accredited Institution.
Current State Licensure As A Registered Dietitian (Rd) Or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (Rdn).
Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Nutrition Therapy And Ability To Develop Individualized Nutrition Plans.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Educate And Counsel Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members.
