- Develop and implement nutrition assessment and care plans for patients based on their individual needs and medical conditions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and integrated care to patients.
- Conduct regular nutrition education and counseling sessions for patients, their families, and caregivers.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their nutrition plans.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of nutrition and incorporate them into patient care.
- Advocate for and promote healthy eating habits within the organization and the community.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patients' nutrition assessments and interventions.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines while handling and preparing food for patients.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and provide nutrition expertise.
- Act as a resource person for other healthcare professionals and staff regarding nutrition-related inquiries.
- Provide support and guidance to patients in adhering to their nutrition plans and making lifestyle changes.
- Continuously evaluate and improve nutrition practices and processes within the organization.
- Adhere to all ethical and professional standards in providing care to patients.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of patients' personal and medical information.

Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition Or Dietetics: A Registered Dietitian At Adventhealth Must Have At Least A Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field, Such As Nutrition Or Dietetics. This Educational Background Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Understand And Apply Medical Nutrition Therapy In A Clinical Setting.
Registered Dietitian (Rd) Credential: In Addition To A Bachelor's Degree, Adventhealth Requires Candidates To Have A Registered Dietitian (Rd) Credential From The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr). This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Necessary Academic And Professional Requirements To Practice As A Dietitian.
State Licensure: Candidates Must Also Hold A Valid State License To Practice As A Registered Dietitian. This Requirement Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Specific Requirements Set By The State To Practice As A Healthcare Professional.
Clinical Experience: Adventhealth Seeks Candidates With Previous Clinical Experience In A Healthcare Setting. This Experience May Include Working In Hospitals, Long-Term Care Facilities, Or Other Healthcare Facilities, Providing Medical Nutrition Therapy To Patients.
