Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly qualified Registered Dietitian to join our team and help us provide exceptional care to our patients.   1. Develop and implement nutrition assessment and care plans for patients based on their individual needs and medical conditions.
  2. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and integrated care to patients.
  3. Conduct regular nutrition education and counseling sessions for patients, their families, and caregivers.
  4. Monitor and evaluate patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their nutrition plans.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of nutrition and incorporate them into patient care.
  6. Advocate for and promote healthy eating habits within the organization and the community.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patients' nutrition assessments and interventions.
  8. Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines while handling and preparing food for patients.
  9. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and provide nutrition expertise.
  10. Act as a resource person for other healthcare professionals and staff regarding nutrition-related inquiries.
  11. Provide support and guidance to patients in adhering to their nutrition plans and making lifestyle changes.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve nutrition practices and processes within the organization.
  13. Adhere to all ethical and professional standards in providing care to patients.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of patients' personal and medical information.
  15. Embody the mission and values of AdventHealth in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition Or Dietetics: A Registered Dietitian At Adventhealth Must Have At Least A Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field, Such As Nutrition Or Dietetics. This Educational Background Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Understand And Apply Medical Nutrition Therapy In A Clinical Setting.

  • Registered Dietitian (Rd) Credential: In Addition To A Bachelor's Degree, Adventhealth Requires Candidates To Have A Registered Dietitian (Rd) Credential From The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr). This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Necessary Academic And Professional Requirements To Practice As A Dietitian.

  • State Licensure: Candidates Must Also Hold A Valid State License To Practice As A Registered Dietitian. This Requirement Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Specific Requirements Set By The State To Practice As A Healthcare Professional.

  • Clinical Experience: Adventhealth Seeks Candidates With Previous Clinical Experience In A Healthcare Setting. This Experience May Include Working In Hospitals, Long-Term Care Facilities, Or Other Healthcare Facilities, Providing Medical Nutrition Therapy To Patients.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Key Aspect Of The Registered Dietitian Job At Adventhealth Is Providing Nutrition Education And Counseling To Patients And Their Families. Therefore, Candidates Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate Complex Nutrition Information To Individuals From Diverse Backgrounds And Build Rapport With Patients And Colleagues.
