- Provide exceptional dental care to patients in accordance with AdventHealth's standards and protocols.
- Act as a supportive and compassionate member of the dental team.
- Assist dentists during procedures by preparing instruments, passing tools, and providing suction.
- Ensure the comfort and well-being of patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Take and develop dental x-rays in accordance with safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized dental operatory.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment following infection control guidelines.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, dentists, and other team members.
- Monitor and order dental supplies and equipment as needed.
- Adhere to all safety and confidentiality protocols.
- Keep up-to-date with new developments and techniques in the field of dental assisting.
- Provide support for front desk duties, such as scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information.

Completion Of An Accredited Dental Assisting Program: A Qualified Candidate For A Registered Dental Assistant Job At Adventhealth Must Have Successfully Completed An Accredited Dental Assisting Program. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Received Proper Training And Education In Dental Assisting Techniques.
State Licensure And Certification: A Registered Dental Assistant At Adventhealth Must Hold A Valid State License And Certification. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met All The Requirements And Standards Set By The State For Dental Assistants.
Knowledge Of Dental Procedures And Terminology: A Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Dental Procedures And Terminology. They Should Be Able To Assist The Dentist During Procedures And Communicate Effectively With Patients.
Experience In Dental Assisting: Adventhealth May Prefer Candidates With Previous Experience In Dental Assisting. This Experience Can Be Gained Through Internships, Externships, Or Working In A Dental Office.
