- Greet and welcome patients and visitors to AdventHealth in a warm and friendly manner.
- Assist physical therapists in providing high-quality and compassionate care to patients.
- Set up and prepare treatment areas for patient therapy sessions.
- Clean and maintain therapy equipment and supplies.
- Assist patients with exercises and activities under the direction of a physical therapist.
- Monitor patients during therapy sessions and report any changes or concerns to the physical therapist.
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth in the field of physical therapy.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe treatment environment for patients and staff.
- Uphold the values and mission of AdventHealth in all interactions with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the job.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Physical Therapy Aide Position At Adventhealth Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Demonstrates Basic Educational Proficiency And A Strong Foundation For Learning And Growth In The Role.
Basic Knowledge Of Anatomy And Physiology: A Physical Therapy Aide Must Have A Working Knowledge Of Human Anatomy And Physiology To Understand The Treatment Plans And Exercises Prescribed By The Physical Therapist. This Knowledge Can Be Acquired Through Coursework Or Experience In A Related Field.
Excellent Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For A Physical Therapy Aide To Effectively Interact With Patients, Therapists, And Other Healthcare Professionals. This Includes The Ability To Listen Actively, Convey Information Clearly, And Provide Empathetic Support To Patients.
