- Perform blood collection procedures on patients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
- Process and label blood samples in a timely manner, maintaining strict quality control measures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following proper infection control procedures.
- Interact with patients in a professional and compassionate manner, providing a positive and welcoming experience.
- Verify patient information and obtain necessary consent forms prior to collecting blood samples.
- Accurately record and document all procedures and patient information in electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure proper patient care and support overall departmental goals.
- Follow established protocols and procedures to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of patient information.
- Stay updated on current phlebotomy techniques and procedures, and participate in ongoing training and development.

- Adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements related to phlebotomy and patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and superiors to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.

- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies to ensure an adequate stock at all times.
- Take necessary precautions to ensure the safety of patients and colleagues during the blood collection process.
Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Cpt) Credential From A Nationally Recognized Organization, Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).
Minimum Of One Year Of Experience Working As A Phlebotomist In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Facility.
Proficiency In Venipuncture Techniques, Including Difficult Draws And Pediatric Phlebotomy.
Knowledge Of Standard Laboratory Safety Practices And Proper Handling Of Blood Specimens.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Laboratory Staff In A Compassionate And Professional Manner.
