- Perform phlebotomy procedures on patients of all ages, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the collection of blood samples
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following proper safety and infection control protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals to ensure a positive and comfortable experience during blood collection
- Accurately label and document all samples collected, ensuring proper tracking and handling of specimens
- Monitor and maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies, ordering and restocking as needed
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance guidelines, including HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing any questions or concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of test results
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on phlebotomy techniques, safety protocols, and industry developments

Completion Of A Phlebotomy Certification Program: A Phlebotomist At Adventhealth Must Have Completed A Formal Training Program In Phlebotomy And Hold A Certification From A Recognized Institution.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Anatomy: A Thorough Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Human Anatomy Is Essential For A Phlebotomist To Accurately Identify And Draw Blood From The Correct Location.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Phlebotomist Must Have Strong Communication Skills To Interact With Patients, Doctors, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Compassionate And Professional Manner.
