  1. Perform venipunctures and collect blood specimens from patients following established protocols and procedures.
  2. Label and process specimens accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper identification and handling.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following infection control and safety guidelines.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns or questions.
  5. Accurately enter patient information and test orders into electronic systems.
  6. Handle and dispose of hazardous materials and sharps in accordance with established protocols.
  7. Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, restocking as needed.
  8. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
  9. Participate in departmental and organizational quality improvement initiatives.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate specimen collection and processing.
  11. Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and new developments in phlebotomy techniques and equipment.
  12. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  13. Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  14. Train and mentor new phlebotomy staff, ensuring they adhere to established protocols and procedures.
  15. Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to maintain and improve skills.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: A Phlebotomist Must Possess A Valid Certification From A Recognized Accrediting Agency, Such As The National Healthcareer Association (Nha) Or The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).
