- Identify Potential Risks: Conduct thorough analysis and research to identify potential risks to patient safety within the organization.
- Analyze Data: Utilize various data sources and tools to analyze trends and patterns related to patient safety incidents and near misses.
- Develop Strategies: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to prevent potential patient safety risks.
- Monitor Effectiveness: Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of patient safety initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
- Communicate Findings: Clearly communicate findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders, including leadership, clinical staff, and other departments.
- Stay Up-to-date: Stay current with industry best practices and regulations related to patient safety and make recommendations for implementation as needed.
- Conduct Trainings: Develop and conduct trainings for staff on patient safety protocols and procedures.
- Foster a Culture of Safety: Promote a culture of safety throughout the organization by advocating for patient safety and educating staff on the importance of their role in ensuring it.
- Collaborate with Quality Improvement Teams: Work closely with quality improvement teams to identify and address patient safety concerns.
- Maintain Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient safety incidents and near misses, as well as actions taken to prevent future occurrences.
- Participate in Committees: Serve as a subject matter expert and actively participate in patient safety committees and meetings.
- Support Patient Safety Initiatives: Support the implementation of patient safety initiatives and participate in related projects and initiatives as needed.
- Uphold AdventHealth Standards: Adhere to AdventHealth's mission, vision, and values, as well as all policies and procedures related to patient safety.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or A Related Field
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Patient Safety Or Risk Management
Knowledge Of Patient Safety Principles And Best Practices, Including Root Cause Analysis And Event Reporting Systems
Strong Analytical Skills And Ability To Interpret Data To Identify Trends And Patterns
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Multidisciplinary Teams And Present Findings To Leadership.
