  1. Identify Potential Risks: Conduct thorough analysis and research to identify potential risks to patient safety within the organization.
  2. Analyze Data: Utilize various data sources and tools to analyze trends and patterns related to patient safety incidents and near misses.
  3. Develop Strategies: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to prevent potential patient safety risks.
  4. Monitor Effectiveness: Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of patient safety initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
  5. Communicate Findings: Clearly communicate findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders, including leadership, clinical staff, and other departments.
  6. Stay Up-to-date: Stay current with industry best practices and regulations related to patient safety and make recommendations for implementation as needed.
  7. Conduct Trainings: Develop and conduct trainings for staff on patient safety protocols and procedures.
  8. Foster a Culture of Safety: Promote a culture of safety throughout the organization by advocating for patient safety and educating staff on the importance of their role in ensuring it.
  9. Collaborate with Quality Improvement Teams: Work closely with quality improvement teams to identify and address patient safety concerns.
  10. Maintain Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient safety incidents and near misses, as well as actions taken to prevent future occurrences.
  11. Participate in Committees: Serve as a subject matter expert and actively participate in patient safety committees and meetings.
  12. Support Patient Safety Initiatives: Support the implementation of patient safety initiatives and participate in related projects and initiatives as needed.
  13. Uphold AdventHealth Standards: Adhere to AdventHealth's mission, vision, and values, as well as all policies and procedures related to patient safety.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Patient Safety Or Risk Management

  • Knowledge Of Patient Safety Principles And Best Practices, Including Root Cause Analysis And Event Reporting Systems

  • Strong Analytical Skills And Ability To Interpret Data To Identify Trends And Patterns

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Multidisciplinary Teams And Present Findings To Leadership.
