1. Greet patients and their families in a warm and welcoming manner, representing the values and mission of AdventHealth.
2. Assist patients with understanding their healthcare benefits and financial options, ensuring they have the necessary information to make informed decisions about their care.
3. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of insurance plans, coverage options, and reimbursement processes.
4. Communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to resolve any benefit or coverage issues.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and insurance information.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure a seamless experience for patients.
7. Remain up-to-date on changes and updates in healthcare laws and regulations, insurance plans, and reimbursement processes.
8. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, demonstrating empathy and compassion in all interactions.
9. Perform financial counseling for patients, including discussing payment options, assisting with financial assistance applications, and answering billing-related questions.
10. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations when handling patient information.
11. Act as a resource for patients and their families, providing education and guidance on navigating the healthcare system.
12. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance the patient experience and ensure efficiency.
13. Collaborate with the billing and coding department to ensure accurate and timely submission of claims.
14. Attend training and educational sessions to expand knowledge and skills related to patient benefits and insurance.
15. Uphold the values and mission of AdventHealth in all interactions and responsibilities.
