- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming attitude, in alignment with AdventHealth's mission.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients seeking to schedule appointments or procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by actively listening to patients' needs and concerns, and addressing them in a timely and professional manner.
- Utilize scheduling software to efficiently and accurately schedule appointments and procedures for patients.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate schedules and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Educate patients on any necessary preparation or instructions for their scheduled appointment or procedure.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of AdventHealth's services, insurance plans, and referral processes to effectively assist patients.
- Adhere to all privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures when handling patient information.
- Continuously strive to improve the scheduling process and identify opportunities for efficiency and customer service improvement.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all scheduled appointments and procedures.
- Attend training and development programs to stay updated on industry and company changes.
- Participate in team meetings and actively contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Demonstrate a commitment to delivering compassionate, whole-person care to patients and their families.

Excellent Communication Skills: A Patient Access Scheduling Representative Must Possess Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills In Order To Effectively Interact With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Other Staff Members.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: This Role Requires A Thorough Understanding Of Medical Terminology To Accurately Schedule Appointments And Communicate With Patients And Healthcare Providers.
Proficiency In Computer Systems: A Patient Access Scheduling Representative Should Be Comfortable Using Various Computer Systems And Software Programs To Input And Retrieve Patient Information, Schedule Appointments, And Maintain Accurate Records.
Attention To Detail: Attention To Detail Is Crucial For This Role To Ensure Accuracy When Scheduling Appointments, Verifying Insurance Information, And Maintaining Patient Records.
Customer Service Oriented: A Patient Access Scheduling Representative Should Have A Strong Customer Service Mindset And Be Able To Handle Difficult Situations With Empathy And Professionalism. This Includes The Ability To Remain Calm And Patient When Dealing With Upset Or Anxious Patients.
