- Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently to ensure timely and appropriate care for our patients.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations to ensure proper payment for services.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information in electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare providers to ensure seamless and coordinated care for patients.
- Educate patients on their insurance coverage and any financial responsibilities they may have.
- Follow all confidentiality and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
- Collaborate with billing and coding teams to ensure accurate billing and coding for services rendered.
- Identify and escalate any issues or concerns to appropriate management personnel.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Typically Required For A Patient Access Scheduling Representative Role At Adventhealth.
Previous Experience In Healthcare Or Customer Service: Candidates With Previous Experience In Healthcare Or Customer Service Roles Will Be Preferred For This Position As They Will Have A Better Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Patient Needs.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For A Patient Access Scheduling Representative As They Will Be Interacting With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals On A Daily Basis.
