As a PACS Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing our Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) to ensure the efficient and accurate storage and retrieval of medical images. 1. Manage and maintain the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) to ensure efficient and accurate storage and retrieval of medical images.
2. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards in all PACS operations.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues with the PACS system in a timely manner.
4. Collaborate with radiology staff and other healthcare professionals to understand their workflow needs and optimize the PACS system accordingly.
5. Train new staff members on the use of the PACS system and provide ongoing support and guidance.
6. Regularly update and maintain PACS databases, including patient information and image data.
7. Monitor and analyze PACS performance data to identify and address any potential issues.
8. Serve as a liaison between the Radiology department and other departments within the hospital, such as IT and medical records, to ensure seamless integration and operation of the PACS system.
