- Monitor and analyze patient heart rhythms using specialized equipment and software.
- Identify and report any abnormalities or changes in heart rhythms to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all monitored patients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure timely and effective patient care.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and medical staff regarding any changes in heart rhythms.
- Operate and troubleshoot monitoring equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as safety and infection control protocols.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Continuously monitor and assess patient status to ensure prompt response to any emergencies.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on advancements in monitoring technology and techniques.
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient care, ensuring a positive experience for all individuals.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisor.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Monitor Technician At Adventhealth Must Have A High School Diploma Or Equivalent To Demonstrate Basic Educational Competency And Understanding Of Medical Terminology.
Completion Of A Cardiac Monitoring Course: Adventhealth Requires Its Monitor Technicians To Have Completed A Cardiac Monitoring Course To Possess The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Accurately Interpret And Report Cardiac Rhythm Data.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: Bls Certification Is Essential For A Monitor Technician At Adventhealth As They May Be Required To Provide Immediate Life-Saving Interventions In Emergency Situations.
Experience With Electronic Medical Records (Emr) And Computer Skills: Proficiency In Emr Systems And Computer Skills Are Necessary For A Monitor Technician At Adventhealth To Accurately Document And Report Patient Information.
Attention To Detail And Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: A Monitor Technician At Adventhealth Must Possess Strong Attention To Detail To Accurately Monitor And Report Cardiac Rhythms In A Fast-Paced Environment. They Should Also Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively To Ensure Timely And Accurate Reporting.
