- Coordinate and manage the credentialing and privileging process for all medical staff members, including physicians, advanced practice providers, and allied health professionals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all medical staff credentials, licenses, and certifications.
- Work closely with medical staff to ensure timely completion of all necessary documentation and requirements for credentialing and privileging.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff and other departments to facilitate a smooth and efficient credentialing process.
- Collaborate with human resources and compliance departments to ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Review and verify all documentation for completeness and accuracy, including education, training, work history, and references.
- Ensure that all medical staff members meet the necessary qualifications and standards set by AdventHealth.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards related to medical staff credentialing and privileging.
- Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures related to medical staff credentialing and privileging.
- Provide support and guidance to medical staff members regarding credentialing and privileging requirements.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with all credentialing and privileging requirements.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices related to medical staff credentialing and privileging.
- Serve as a liaison between medical staff and other departments, advocating for the needs and concerns of the medical staff.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to medical staff credentialing and privileging.
- Uphold the values and mission of AdventHealth and promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Medical Staff Services Or Credentialing Within A Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules And Regulations, And Accreditation Standards.
Strong Organizational And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Manage Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively.
Familiarity With Credentialing Software And Databases, Such As Cactus Or Md-Staff, And Proficiency In Microsoft Office.
